Challenge

For many companies in the group, finance is a shared resource provided by the Group Finance unit and budgeting workflows are set up across company borders to group finance.

Preparing budgets was a manual process which needed to share paper files between desks, buildings and sometimes across cities.

Solution

We analyzed their organizational structures and developed a collaborative budget creation platform involving multiple designations and teams across child company/SBU and parent group finance departments.

Everything from budget request, discussions, budget creation & proposing and making amendments are carried out on system and parent groups existing identity management services were utilized to implement role based controls and workflow management. All changes are versioned and tracked for future reference.

Outcome

Currently rolling out more than 500% time & cost savings are achieved due to real-time collaboration workflow.
